What to Expect on Your First Visit?

At Pelham Hills Dentistry, we consider your first visit to be the most important one. It's the foundation of our relationship and the start of your journey toward lasting oral health. Your First Appointment Step by Step

1. Complete Your Patient Forms. Before your visit, please complete our medical history forms. The forms are usually sent to you by email 48 hours prior to your appointment. All you have to do is click on the link, provide information and submit the forms. These help us understand your overall health and any conditions that may affect your dental care.

2. Comprehensive Examination. Your dentist will perform a thorough clinical exam, including:

   • Digital and cavity-detecting X-rays
   • Soft-tissue and oral cancer screening
   • Periodontal (gum health) assessment
   • Review of any existing dental work

   We'll then discuss our findings with you and develop a personalized treatment plan that suits your needs and goals.

3. Addressing Priorities or Emergencies. If you have an urgent dental concern or pain, we'll focus on that right away. Otherwise, we'll guide you into our comprehensive hygiene program for regular cleanings and preventive care.

4. Meet Our Caring Hygiene Team. Our skilled hygienists are known for their gentle touch, compassion, and empathy. We strive to create a calm, open, and non-judgmental environment where you can discuss your dental concerns freely and confidently.
